'Nieudegat (local dialect for 'Bird's Nest) Gites' comprises six self-contained gites built in the traditional Perigordian style with its own swimming pool, set slightly elevated to enjoy views overlooking over 3 acres of private wooded grounds.

ALL GITES HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY RE-FITTED WITH NEW FURNISHINGS, BEDS AND EQUIPMENT FOR 2003. Please note we have a non-smoking policy both indoors and outdoors, in the interests of eveyone's health and safety.

Each of our six one bed gites are ideal for two people and can sleep a maximum of 4 people if required. Larger groups (max. 24) can be accommodated by booking gites en-bloc. Ideal for family gatherings or clubs.

All gites have french windows opening from the living room onto a paved patio area overlooking the surrounding countryside where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and solitude. Each is fully equipped for your use and has a mini-cuisine with double electric hob, sink, fridge and cupboards. A constant supply of hot water is available. On the ground floor there is a spacious shower-room (one has a full-size bath) with handbasin in vanitory unit, separate w.c. and a built-in wardrobe. Linen and towels are provided (excluding towels for swimming/sunbathing).

Open tread staircase from the living room lead to the first floor bedroom (all fully carpeted) with velux window. A choice of twin, double or superking size beds is available. All gites have a double bed settee in the living room so that 3 to 4 people can be accommodated if required.

Patio furniture and barbecues are provided. There is a boules area and you are welcome to explore the wooded grounds and identify a variety of birds, flowers and fauna. Or go on a truffle hunt!

The swimming pool is equipped with a hydrotherapy/massage facility enabling you to swim against the flow without needing to swim end to end and turn.

All gites have a fitted wardrobe on the ground floor. Mini-cuisines provide a double electric hob, stainless steel sink and drainer with fridge and cupboard below and double wall cupboard above.

Patio dining furniture is used inside the gites and may be taken outside onto the patio to enjoy your dinner alfresco while you watch the sun as it sets behind the trees.

Five of the gites have spacious tiled shower rooms, one has a full-size bath with shower over. All have washbasins in fitted vanitory units with ample cupboards for storing toiletries, cosmetics and towels etc.

All gites have a carpeted first floor bedroom with either kingsize, double or two single beds depending upon availability.
